“Signature Series” – USC’s Thornton/LIVE

Recording Dot LA engineers provided multi-camera livestreams of a select number of concerts. The “Signature Series” featured performances ranging from orchestral and chamber music styles to popular music to jazz, this series of virtual livestreams brings the sounds of USC Thornton ensembles directly to viewers at home.

At the 2020 Virtual Award Ceremony for the Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, Adam Borecki received the “Shaun Naidoo Legacy Award”, the only award nominated and given to a faculty member by students.

Zoom Webinar with Eric Whitacre

Adam was the host of a webinar with choral composer Eric Whitacre. Eric joined a group of over a hundred students on Zoom to talk about his music, the compositional process, and sharing tips for young musicians. Valentines Day Concert

The Kaleidoscope Trio (Adam Borecki, Mann-Wen Lo, and Micah Wright) performed a live concert for seniors at the Belmont Village in the Pacific Palisades. In addition to taking requests, they were even joined by a member of the audience who brought a harmonica. As a quartet, they made an impromptu performance of “Over the Rainbow”.

Musco Mixing Workshop

Music Tech students got first-hand experience using a professional, full-format mixing console during a live performance of Chapman’s Jazz Combo and Big Band concert. Students who participated were able to use Dante audio networking technology with a 32 fader mixing desk to create real-time audio mixes of the music.
