Adam was the host of a webinar with choral composer Eric Whitacre. Eric joined a group of over a hundred students on Zoom to talk about his music, the compositional process, and sharing tips for young musicians. Music Tech students got first-hand experience using a professional, full-format mixing console during a live performance of Chapman’s Jazz Combo and Big Band concert. Students who participated were able to use Dante audio networking technology with a 32 fader mixing desk to create real-time audio mixes of the music.
In the Fall of 2019, Adam Borecki became the Director of Music Technology at Chapman University. Since 2015, Adam has taught music technology courses at Chapman. Adam Borecki composed the electronics and designed visuals in a collaboration with the Spacepants duo. The work “Prelude and Tube” was originally composed by Spacepants (Diana Wade and Jen Beattie). Mark Menzies, violin, and Adam Borecki premiered “Integrations”, a new work commissioned by Mark Menzies. The performance was part of an Electroacoustic composer-performer concert hosted at Cosumnes River College.
The Sunset Club Trio performs “Star Trails” at the Peninsula Center Library in Palos Verdes as part of the Classical Music Series 2016.
Starting in its inaugural year, Adam Borecki served as a teacher to young composition students in the Sunset Chamber Music Festival.
